Tential Delivers Swift Reinforcements for PE Engineering | Tential

Written by Tential | April 14, 2023

Summary

Comprised of technologists with extensive experience in Private Capital Markets, our client delivers a private equity software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for private capital funds and service providers. When a team of experienced engineers at the company was overwhelmed with supporting a critical customer's maintenance efforts, they turned to Tential for assistance.

The Solution

Already a client, the company had confidence in our ability to provide reliable and creative technology solutions. Led by Tential’s Partner, Nick Tanis, our team began by addressing the client’s immediate concerns, which related to their permanent engineering staff needing additional support to focus on core product development efforts. Furthermore, the team was struggling to manage multiple clients' Investran customization efforts. Investran is a SaaS software that can be customized to improve accounting and reporting efficiencies for private equity firms.

After gaining a thorough understanding of the issue, Tential recommended a flexible solution that would facilitate the management of talent at a rapid pace. Rather than offering a pre-packaged solution, we proposed a cost-effective and co-managed option that allowed the SaaS provider to maintain some control over the talent and outcomes for their private equity customers.

The Results

Tential opted to deploy a team proficient in .Net Core, Angular, and SQL development in an Azure Cloud-based environment. This not only enhanced the project's efficiency and speed but also leveraged the current functional expertise of our client's team. Ultimately, Tential successfully and promptly implemented and co-managed a software development team, enabling the company to allocate their experienced engineers to core product work.
